Dr. Towanna Freeman

I've come to realize that my favorite things about portraits are creating, collaborating and connecting with people. I did not purposely try to make an alliteration there :)

I was introduced to Dr. Towanna Freeman through Kelsy of DiDomenico Designs . Dr. Freeman approached me with the need of some new portraits for her website. After an easy conversion we scheduled a date and made some great images together. Our session was easygoing and quick as we knocked out 3 outfits in under 45 minutes while laughing and chatting. Though she insisted she was nervous, I only saw confidence and elegance from beginning to end and enjoyed working with her.

When you have a moment find out more about Dr. Freeman's diverse accomplishments as a professional certified coach, consultant and advocate for young women in the DC area.  http://www.towannafreeman.com/about/

Enjoy a few favorites below.

Two reds and some dreads

I've known Ramona, for one, and Annie for two years now from hanging out at Denizens Brewing Company as well as previous photoshoots together. Ramona, who now coaches at SolidCore DC, approached me about doing another photoshoot and suggested bringing Annie as shes about to cut her dreads. Shes been growing them for 5 years now so it's a big transition. We had a blast shooting as these two ladies are packed with the most pleasant personalities ever. Enjoy a few of my favorites below.
