With just a few days to plan Kelsy pulled off a fabulous set of looks to get her holiday collection underway. What an amazing team I had to work with and looking forward to the next one coming very soon.

Jai, pronounced "jay", reached out to me in need of a simple headshot for LinkedIn and online profile photo for his upcoming conferences. He's a director for Enterprise Data Services at CapitalOne. I arrived on location and was immediately told by property security there is no photography allowed on the grounds - this is actually quite common, but still frustrating.
Obstacles aside, we walked off property, found a few decent locations and had a simple and relaxed shoot. To be clear, security was third party, not CapOne and was actually very nice about the rules.

She is passionate about designing, traveling and has recently gained much exposure from New York Fashion Week to Washingtonian Magazine to a feature on GoodDay DC. She's also launched a #sewingtheworld campaign taking her Great ant's 1914 antique sewing machine on a trip around the world for photoshoots. See more on her Instagram account.
Its always exciting to meet and network with local professional artists that share the same drive in their own craft as we do. I am looking forward to watching her success continue to grow.

A little personality is always good. Loved this shot of Monica as it showed her tattoos and those amazing eyes.
A rare bikini photo, but both Eve and I wanted to get some "water" images taken before summer was over. I like this one because its moody and unexpected for a bathing suit shot. Natural light + reflector.

Simple portrait with Madalyn. I setup my black backdrop (v-flats) on the deck late in the day and just asked her to relax. All natural light, no reflector.

We shot at noon so I made use of all the shaded areas I could find in downtown Silver Spring.

Beauty and portfolio image for Kourtnee. She was a natural in front of the camera. I used a Alien Bee 800, set about 10 feet outside of a full windowed door with a light grey shade pulled down. Creates a well lit but natural looking effect.
I shot many beautiful images of Kourtnee but was constantly intrigued with her hair, so I had to do a hair shot.
Andrew is owner and creative genius behind Gorilla Industries. This shot was taken as he was telling me how much he doesn't like being photographed. I think it captured his personality well.
